Above all, it is the human experience that is at the heart of any GOFA design and will always be put front and centre. Building around this of course would be the latest applications of architectural philosophy, considerations in sustainable design while keeping affordability of construction a constant topic of conversation.
We relish the challenge!
Originally educated in Cork Institute of Technology, Gary graduated with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 3D visualizations. He gained his early experience as a structural/architectural technician, then over the years into the role of senior architectural technician, working on a multitude of project types in all sectors.
Gary received his architectural educated in UK where he studied at Oxford Brookes University School of Architecture, Oxford. Here he gained his RIBA Part 1 Certificate & RIBA Part 2 Diploma in Architecture. He completed his Part 3 Examination in Architecture with RIBA North, Liverpool. He is on the Architects Registration Board in the UK, a chartered Architect as member of RIBA and registered member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland. In 2017 after gaining years of experience in practice, Gary set up GOFA, beginning a long held dream of creating a practice of his own.
Gary has a very driven, very focused personality. Applying both of these traits to each of his projects, he is meticulous in his detail. Gary believes that at the core of any project, above anything else is the client and their aspirations. Interaction and communication are key to getting to the heart of these . From there the design can develop to truly be tailored to their needs.
This is the basis for GOFA’s founding principles. It is how we approach every new project, and each new challenge….
